Police are investigating after several shots were fired into a Lexington home early Friday morning.
The shots fired call went out around 5:30 a.m. when, police say, somebody fired four or five shots into a house on Oldham Avenue, off Euclid Avenue, close to the University of Kentucky campus.
A family was inside the home, but nobody was hurt.
Lexington Police say they do not think the shooting was random. because no other homes in this neighborhood appear to have been targeted.
A member of the family that lives in the home, was inside at the time of the shooting, and says there's simply no way those bullets were meant for them personally, and neighbors agree, describing the husband and wife who live there as very nice.
"They just seem like nice quiet people," said neighbor Sawyer Curd. "I can't imagine anyone wanting to harm them. It's terrible that someone would do that."
Authorities say they continue to look into leads but don't have any suspects in mind.
