Slick roads accounted for at least two accidents in Lexington Tuesday night, one involving a fire truck.
Police say the driver of an SUV was heading down Newtown Road when the vehicle hit a slick spot at Iron Works Pike. The driver lost control and the SUV slid into a power pole.
The driver was not hurt.
A Kentucky Utilities crew had to replace the pole.
Police say crews had not salted the road yet, and a layer of snow covered the pavement.
A Lexington Fire Department truck also had issues on the snowy roads.
The ladder truck was responding to a fire call on Elam Village Drive when it slid on an icy patch while turning.
Nobody was hurt, and the truck was not badly damaged.
