Jimbo, Do you work for KAWC? IF not they can not give you a raise nor can they cut your taxes they are a company not the government. Everyone knows they ask for more than they want becasue the PSC ALWAYS gives them less than they ask for. Keep in mind if you do not like KAWC or their service you can always get water somewhere else. It is a lot more work and requires effort but you have an alternative. Can someone tell me the alternative to KU? They are always jacking up bills more than KAWC and you have no other option. You want electricity you have to go through them. People in Lexington will still have some of the lowest bills. I live in Madison county and our bills are higher and the water awful. You can't drink the stuff. I also gather most of your water bills over here go to the city for your sewer and taxes. On an average water bill what percentage goes to KAWC just for your water and how much does LFUCG get? I bet if you look most of your bill is taxes and sewage fees, so if we are going to complain about some of it you better be at city hall telling them to stop raising your sewage rates and taxes.

WITHOUT PAY INCREASES AND COST OF LIVING INCREASES THIS IS NOT A TIME TO RAISE
    ANY UTILITIES.

IN THE PAST KAW WOULD ASK THEN IF THEY GET THE INCREASE HERE COME KU AND THEN THEY
WANT THEIRS AND THEN COLUMBIA GAS AND THEY WILL WANT THEIRS AND LAST INSIGHT
    CABLE WILL ASK.

THE TOP EXECUTIVES AT THESE COMPANIES NEED TO TAKE A PAY CUT.

WHY IS IT THAT TAXPAYERS HAVE TO PAY FOR THESE COMPANIES MISTAKES???

less Big govment, "lower taxes", get rid of the public utilities service commission.  Don't need Big Govment looking into private utilities rates.  Don't need these govment bums using our tax dollars to oversee utilities.  Join the Tea Party, less regulation.  All we need is a 5 gal. bucket and a trip to Clay's Ferry for free water.

Companies all want to raise their prices and rates, yet many employees haven't had raises for the last few year and many have been laid off already.  Stop increasing our bills until you start raising our pay or cutting our taxes.

I do not agree with the rate hike. KY American are the first one's to turn off your water and and the last one's to get it turned back on. They could care less about their customer's why should we help them with construction.
