A Somerset man has been arrested on sex charges following an investigation by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
On September 14, the Sheriff's Office Patrol Division began an investigation after a complaint was filed by the mother of a 13-year-old female. The compliant stated that an 18-year-old male had engaged in sexual activities with her daughter.
The investigation resulted in the suspect being identified as 18-year-old Brandon Scott Guinn of Somerset. The sexual contact was deemed to be consensual between the two and no force had been used. The child was not injured.
The Sheriff's Office does not identify the victims of sexual crimes.
On Wednesday, Guinn was arrested on a Pulaski County District Court warrant charging him with second-degree rape. This charge is due to the age of the victim and does not indicate that any forced rape occurred.
Guinn is being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
