UK linebacker Ridge Wilson will get his shot to start against Mississippi State on Saturday.
The 6-foot-3 sophomore has lobbied all season for a starting job, but earned it with hard work and solid play as a backup. In eight games, Wilson has eight tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery.
"He's really picked up his game, so we decided to give him a shot," Smith said. "We want to see what you can do ... so show us what you can do," linebackers coach Chuck Smith told the Herald Leader.
