The trial lasted two weeks, included dozens of witnesses, hundreds of pieces of evidence and ended in a guilty verdict for Donald Southworth. In a hearing Tuesday, the Lexington man is expected to ask for a new trial.
Southworth was convicted last month of killing his wife, Umi. She was found badly beaten outside their home in 2010.
Southworth's attorneys argue he did not get a fair trial.
A judge is expected to make a decision about a new trial Tuesday afternoon.
