The Lexington man convicted last month of killing his wife wants a new trial.
After about two weeks of high-profile testimony, Donald Southworth was found guilty in the 2010 murder of his wife, Umi. She was badly beaten and left for dead in the couple's back yard.
After deliberating for about three hours, jurors came back with the guilty verdict in January.
Both sides will be in court Thursday to discuss a retrial.
