State H1N1 Deaths Jump To 30; Seasonal Flu Cases Rise Play Video

The number of deaths in the state from the H1N1 virus jumped to 30 with eight new deaths reported since last Thursday, and now the seasonal flu is starting to show up in the state as well.

In the past week, new H1N1 deaths were reported in Allen, Boyle, Boone, Graves, Jefferson, Montgomery, Robertson and Woodford counties.

The Kentucky Department for Public Health began giving updates on H1N1 deaths on Thursdays only on its website beginning last week.

Seasonal flu cases are now starting to show up as well, with four new cases reported in Calloway, Fayette, Franklin and Woodford counties.
