State Police in Ashland said late Monday afternoon that they have arrested a wanted fugitive from Boyd County.
Ty Jacob Doolen, 26, was wanted by Kentucky State Police on the charge of first-degree assault.
On Sunday, State Police received about an alleged assault that had occurred at a home on Back Drive in Rush. Amelia Hall, 31, of Rush was located at the residence and was unresponsive. The investigation revealed Hall had suffered multiple injuries which varied in nature and location.
Boyd County EMS responded to the scene and Hall was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
On Monday, police say information was received that Doolen was traveling in a vehicle on KY 1458 in the area of KY Route 5. Troopers responded to the area, located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Doolen was arrested without incident.
