Two people led Lexington Police on a short chase Saturday afternoon.
Police say it all started around 1:00 p.m. After a man saw two young men driving his stolen car on Kees Road.
As police tried to pull the car over, they say the driver led them on a chase up Russell Cave Road and onto Hollow Creek Road, before crashing into a fence on La Salle Road.
Police arrested the teenage passenger after a short foot chase.
"A pursuit is a very dangerous part of what we do and we certainly have to weigh the need to capture that person against the safety issues that come up," says Sgt. Earl Rayford with Lexington Police.
Police searched for the driver, who also took off on foot, but were unable to find him.
