Student Charged In EKU Bomb Scare Bonds Out Of Jail

The EKU student charged with a bomb scare inside a dorm Monday has bonded out of jail.

Jacob Walker was arrested Monday afternoon. At about 4 p.m., all 240 students were evacuated from Palmer Residence Hall after someone found a half-sized refrigerator duck-taped with a message attached.

University officials aren't releasing what the message said or where the refrigerator was found, but investigators took the threat seriously.

Kentucky State Police had bomb sniffing dogs and the bomb squad called in.

Walker was arrested for first-degree terroristic threatening.
