Three suspects in a Laurel County home invasion in which one was shot by the homeowner pleaded not guilty in the case Friday.
It happened just before noon Thursday on Old Whitley Road in Lily. The Sheriff's Department says Bobby Lee and his infant daughter were asleep in their home when another man broke in. Lee woke up when the intruder came into the bedroom, and that's when he grabbed a gun. Lee shot that intruder, who police say is Jimmy Farmer, in the upper chest area, then held him and two other suspects, Dudley Farmer and Leslie Hicks, at gunpoint until police arrived.
The suspect who was shot, Jimmy Farmer, was treated for his wound at the hospital. He, Dudley Farmer and Hicks are all charged with Burglary and Theft.
All three suspects are due back in court February 14.
