Firefighters call a dumpster fire outside of a furniture shop in Lexington suspicious.

Witnesses spotted flames in a dumpster outside of a store on Ballard Street around 12:30 p.m. Flaming trash melted a window and threatened to ignite lumber piled inside the building.

Firefighters quickly put out the blaze. The building sustained some minor damage.

An investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
