A teacher at Tates Creek High School has been suspended after an alleged inappropriate incident at the school.

David Goodpaster is a social studies teacher at the school. He's been suspended while the district investigates a confrontation with a student Monday. School officials say the alleged incident involves "inappropriate physical contact" with the student, but not of a sexual nature.

This is Goodpaster's first year with Fayette County schools.
