A Boyd County teen was arrested over the weekend and charged with killing his girlfriend's two-month-old baby.
Police and EMS in Boyd County were called for an unresponsive infant Saturday morning. The 2-month-old, Alivia Worstell, was was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
On Sunday, state troopers arrested 18-year-old Brett Thompson of Powell County, who is the boyfriend of Heather Worstell, the baby's mother.
Police believe Thompson hit the child in the head, which led to her death.
