VERSAILLES (AP) - A motorist's failure to dim his bright headlights over the weekend brought on a police chase and a raft of charges against him.
Kentucky State Police said a trooper pulled over a car for bright lights and the driver took off. The chase covered 25 miles and ended after the driver was travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 60 and the trooper used his car to knock him off the road to prevent a head-on collision.
Cody Huddleston, who is 19, then tried to run away on foot.
Huddleston, of Versailles, was booked into jail in Woodford County on Saturday night under 18 charges. Among them were DUI, drug possession, wanton endangerment and a number of traffic violations.
Jail records don't show if Huddleston had an attorney.
