Teen Suffers Head Trauma In Harrison County Accident

A teenager trying to get out and enjoy the snow in Harrison County wound up in the hospital Friday night with serious head trauma.
It was around 7:00 p.m. on McDowell Road, when officials said an ATV was pulling a plastic sled with the 13-year-old on it. The teen was thrown head-first into a tree, suffering serious, life-threatening injuries.
The teen was taken to Harrison Memorial Hospital. He is expected to be transferred to UK Hospital.
The teen's name has not been released.
