Police say they linked five teens to a string of break-ins after officers took them into custody following a fight and gunfire along a Lexington street Wednesday.
Neighbors called police about a fight along Highlawn Avenue, and witnesses reported gunfire in the area. Police say officers tracked down the teens a few hours later with a stolen car and weapons.
Police say they linked some of those guns to a burglary in the Andover area, and evidence connected the group to several other stolen cars and burglaries in the area. The oldest suspect was just 16-years-old.
Police say they charged the teens with wanton endangerment and receiving stolen property, and other charges are pending.
