The medical examiner's office in Oklahoma says the person who died Thursday in the crash of a small plan registered to another man in Lexington was from Texas.

The person who died in the crash was Robert Merks, 57, from San Antonio, Texas. The plane went down near Sundance Airport in Oklahoma City just before 2 p.m. Thursday.

FAA records show the plane is registered to another man at a Lexington address.

The NTSB was on the scene Friday investigating the crash.
