Here are the latest road reports for counties to the west of the Lexington area.
KYTC District 5 crews continue to treat roadways in most of our eight counties due the blowing and drifting of snow. The extremely cold temperatures also cause refreezing of melted precipitation. While the winds are very cold and uncomfortable, they do help with drying of the pavement.
As of 8:30 a.m., road conditions by county are as follows:
Bullitt - refreezing of precipitation on roadways, crews salting
Franklin - partly covered, crews salting
Henry - partly covered, crews salting and plowing
Jefferson - wet to dry pavement, crews monitoring
Oldham - partly covered, crews salting
Shelby - partly covered, crews salting and plowing
Spencer - partly covered, crews salting
Trimble - partly covered, crews salting and plowing
