With Cal and LeBron being so tight- with the big stars one name is good, you don't have to say John Calipari and or LeBron James - it wasn't surprising to see that LeBron quietly popped into Lexington to play some hoops.
Late Tuesday night, LeBron posted the following message on Twitter:
"Just got done hooping at UK with the team, and alum Rondo, @EBled24 @boogiecousins! Great run! #BigBlueNation"
With Cal concentrating on recruiting this week, on a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you think it helps that LeBron comes to Lexington for a workout?
Cal doesn't even have to say, "You know if you come to UK, you might end up hanging out with my buddy LeBron." You know every recruit he goes and sees from this point on will know.
To take the other side of the story, without the NBA lockout, the odds are pretty good that he wouldn't be stopping in Lexington. Doesn't matter. It's Cal and LeBron.
Toss in the Boston Celtics Rajon Rondo along with former UK stars Eric Bledsoe and DeMarcus Cousins, wow...who wouldn't have wanted to watch that. They could have easily filled Memorial Coliseum on short notice, charged $10 bucks to get in and raised a lot of money for charity.
How many other college coaches do you think are upset that LeBron came to Lexington.
Or perhaps the proper word is jealous.
