Police arrested three people after a shooting incident at a Lexington apartment complex Thursday morning.

Police say somebody fired a gun at the Coolavin Apartment Complex off Jefferson Street around 10 a.m. The suspects fled, but police quickly caught up with the vehicle.

"Around any complex or neighborhood, it's obviously extremely dangerous when somebody discharges a firearm, and that could lead to injury. Lucky, today it didn't lead to any injuries," Lexington Police Department Lt. Raymond Roller said.

Officers say they found a handgun and marijuana inside the vehicle.

Police say officers also arrested one person on a felony warrant.
