Three Arrested For Random Shootings In Bowling Green

Three men are in custody following a series of random shootings on two Bowling Green streets.

The shootings took place July 26 on East 5th Street and a short time later on Riverwood Avenue. Bullets shattered the window of the Hosparus building on Riverwood and a residence just down the street. The suspects also shot at the Warren County Road Department on East 5th Street, which was unoccupied. The shots narrowly missed two children in the house on Riverwood Avenue.

Arrested are 19-year-old Winford Blake Wilburn of Bowling Green, 18-year-old Thomas Michael Welborn of Brownsville and 18-year-old Casey D. Coleman of Smiths Grove.

Each has been charged with five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of first-degree criminal mischief. Wilburn and Welborn are being held in the Warren County Regional Jail. Coleman's warrant was served in the city of Brownsville and he is being held in the Hart County Jail.
