Three people were hospitalized Thursday night after a bad wreck in Lexington. It happened at the intersection of Harrodsburg road and Dogwood Trace, just a short distance from the Fayette County line.
Police say it happened around 6:45 Thursday night. An SUV was making a left turn off of Harrodsburg Road into the Dogwood Trace subdivision, when it collided with a Mazda traveling in bound on Harrodsburg Road.
Police say the SUV had a green light, but no green arrow. The force of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway and into the grass outside the entrance to Dogwood Trace.
Thursday night, the male driver of the of the SUV was in serious condition, the passenger of the SUV was in fair condition, and the driver of the Mazda was in critical condition at UK Hospital.
Police say alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash.
