Police were called Wednesday morning after a toddler was found wandering alone in a Lexington neighborhood.

The incident happened at about 9:30 a.m. on Ohio Street. Police were called after the child, a two-year-old boy, was found with dirty feet and hands and a full diaper by a neighbor. Eventually, the child's caretaker was found inside of a nearby home.

Police did not charge the caretaker due to medical reasons. The child's father took him into custody until the caretaker could address her medical issue.
