Our seemingly never ending record setting heat wave blazes on Friday with highs around 100, the heat index from 100-105 and the same heat advisory in place for the Bluegrass & southeast and an excessive heat warning north & west. A few showers and storms are possible Friday afternoon firing along boundaries left from Thursday's severe storms. We won't see the coverage we did yesterday but the few storms that fire could be severe with damaging wind & hail.
Saturday will end up another scorcher with highs topping 100 degrees. Relief is finally on the way late this weekend as a cold front settles in to the Ohio Valley bringing scattered showers & storms Sunday into Monday. It'll also break the heat wave... highs will fall from the 90s late in the weekend to the 80s next week.
