Lexington police arrested two people and charged them with criminal abuse in a case investigators likened to "torture."

Court documents indicate Eric A. Kirik, 38, and Chaum Lee Kirik, 32, (aka Washburn) abused and seriously injured Eric Kirik's 6-month-old daughter back in December. The police report says Eric Kirik "caused serious physical injury/torture of a victim."

Both suspects are being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

There is no information on the condition of the child.
