Two separate crashes involving five vehicles shut down inbound Versailles Road at Rice Road for almost an hour Thursday morning.

Police say a woman pulled out onto Versailles Road and clipped a car just before 7 a.m. A third vehicle also got caught up in the accident. While police were working that crash, a second two vehicle collision happened in the same area.

EMS took three people to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police reopened Versailles Road around 7:45 a.m.
