Lexington police got two investigations for the price of one early Monday morning.

Police responded to a disorder call on Red Mile Road and found two men fighting. Officers arrested the two combatants and were leaving the scene when they heard a gunshot. The officers searched the area, but couldn't find the source of the gunfire.

Police say they don't believe the shot was directed at them.
