Two Hospitalized After Rockcastle County Accident

Kentucky State Police are investigating a crash that happened on Monday on US 25 south of Mount Vernon in Rockcastle County.

Trooper Eric Moore says a white, 1999, Nissan, Frontier pickup truck operated by Timothy Milburn, 42, of Mount Vernon, was traveling southbound on US 25 when it went onto the left shoulder of the roadway, overcorrected and crossed the centerline striking a blue, 2000, Chevrolet, Silverado, pickup truck, operated by Hollis Marcum, 67, of Mount Vernon, head-on.

Milburn, and his passenger Timothy S. Milburn, Jr., 20, of Mount Vernon, were flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington for treatment of their injuries and were listed as stable condition.

Marcum was taken to the Rockcastle County Hospital, by private vehicle, where he was treated and released.

No drug or alcohol usage was suspected.
