Two men charged with murder in separate cases pleaded not guilty in Powell County court Tuesday morning.

Police say Ralph Allyn, 66, called 911 shortly after shooing his 64-year-old girlfriend Barbara Martin Sunday morning. Officers say he initially refused to come to the door, but eventually surrendered.

Investigators say Terrance Wagner, 67, stabbed Kelly McCoy in the stomach inside a Clay City home Saturday night.

Wagner and Allyn are both scheduled back in court on Oct. 5.
