Two Robberies In Woodland Park In Less Than A Week

Lexington police say they will step up patrols in the Woodland Park area after two robberies in less than a week.

Police say a man rode up on a bike and asked a teenager for change around 11 p.m. Tuesday. When the victim pulled out his wallet, the man on the bike grabbed it and punched him in the face. The victim fought back and the robber ran off, leaving his bike behind.

Last Thursday, a man robbed a couple at gunpoint.

Police say officers assigned to the area will pass through the park more often during their shifts.
