A two-car crash in Lexington shut down a road for nearly an hour Saturday evening.

The crash happened around 7:30. Police say a car crossed the center line causing a near head-on collision. There were two people in each car. The two in the silver car were taken to UK Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The two in the darker car were treated and released at the scene.

Police do not believe alcohol or road conditions played a role in the accident.
