Police are searching for a man who apparently forced another man to help him push his way into a north Lexington apartment Monday afternoon to rob the woman inside.
The incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. at an apartment on Douglas Avenue near Georgetown Road. Police say they believe that Frank Tallman, who they say knows the unidentified female victim in the apartment, was forced by an unknown suspect to knock on the door before the victim opened it and then forced his way inside.
Police say the suspect then demanded money from the woman, and when she didn't produce it, the suspect allegedly pistol-whipped Tallman and forced him to find the woman's money.
Police described the suspect as white male wearing a hoodie and jeans, and that he fled the scene in a black Dodge pickup truck with a Kentucky license plate, number 514-GYJ.
