Two teenagers were injured in a single vehicle accident in Pulaski County Wednesday evening.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department says the driver of a pickup lost control along KY-3057 outside of Somerset around 7 p.m. The truck slammed into a tree and then went over an embankment. Rescue crews had to cut Samuel Brown, 18, and Kristian Cruz, 18, out of the wreckage.

Brown was flown to UK Hospital. EMS transported Cruz to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

There was no word on their condition Thursday morning.
