Two Women Robbed By Four Masked Men In Lexington

Police in Lexington are investigating after they say four masked men forced their way into an apartment early Monday morning.

The incident happened just after midnight at a townhouse on Codell Drive just off of New Circle and Woodhill Drive. A woman inside says her sister was over for a visit at the time. As the sister went to leave, investigators say four men in hoodies and masks forced their way in. They say the men never showed a gun, but were carrying objects under their shirts.

The women told police the group kept asking about a stash of money, which they say they don't know anything about. The group eventually settled for taking twenty dollars from one of the women and ran away.

Search dogs didn't go far., leading officers to the back parking lot of the complex. In all the commotion, the women say they didn't get a good look at the men behind their masks.
