Willie Cauley-Stein gets two dunks early, but the Cats were on the short end 14-8 to Vandy. Shooting was a problem, UK had hit only 4 of 15.
Vandy looks like a much better team than they were when UK played them in Nashville.
"Missing layups because we're getting bumps," said Cal on TV during the game.
Jon Hood gives UK a spark with a three to make it 25-19 Vandy.
With Vandy up 27-19, Kevin Stallings was pleased.
"I like how we're playing," Vandy's coach said on TV. "We're aggressive. That's what I want us to do."
Kentucky couldn't get a run going to end the half. Vandy leads 37-23.
Ryan Harrow is hurting UK with 4 turnovers and 1 for 9 from the field.
UK is shooting 36% from the field and 33% from downtown.
Vandy is hitting 59% from the field and 62% from downtown.
UK needed a huge first five minutes. With 17:53 to go in the game, Vandy increased their lead to 18, 44-26. At this point they are shooting 64% from the field and 66% from downtown.
True Blue fans were yelling and screaming trying to get the Cats back in the game. Archie Goodwin with a huge dunk to make it 48-37 Vandy. Music City was rocking.
Vandy didn't flinch with UK's run and they kept on hitting. Kyle Fuller with a layup and UK is in trouble 60-43.
Vandy wins 64-48.
Harrow was 2 of 15 for 4 points. He had 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 turnovers.
Archie Goodwin led UK with 12. Kyle Wiltjer had 10. No one else hit double figures for UK.
Vandy had four players in double figures. They shot 50% from the field and 47% from downtown.
UK hit 35% from the field and 28% from downtown.
ESPN now has UK in their first four out list for the NCAA Tournament.
