A new star is born. Eric Bledsoe.
The freshman took the game over in the second half and led everyone with 24 points.
He made a circus scoop shot to make it 56--39 UK that has to make ESPN's top 10.
Bledsoe was so good, and that included 7 rebounds which was second for the Cats, Patrick Patterson, who was a beast, seemed to take a back seat for much of the second half.
Patterson had 20 points on 9 of 12 from the field and 12 rebounds. Throw in his first three pointer which gave the Cats a 7--5 lead.
Darnell Dodson loves to shoot. He tied Bledsoe for the most shots with 14. He was the third UK player in double figures with 14.
Kenneth Faried, who started slowly, had a monster dunk that has to also make ESPN. He led Morehead with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
Turnovers was the main problem for UK. They had 24. Morehead had 12.
UK dominated the glass with 43 rebounds. Morehead had only 24.
UK shot 50%. Morehead 39%.
And, John Wall gets to play for UK Monday night against Miami.
Cats 1--0 beat Morehead State 75---59.
