UK football coach Joker Phillips said Monday that defensive tackle Mark Crawford has been suspended for the remainder of the season because of a violation of team rules.

Phillips said the suspension of Crawford, a 6-1, 293-pound junior from Indianapolis, includes any bowl game UK may go to.

Phillips did not give a specific reason for the suspension.
