The Kentucky Wildcats started off their 11th NCAA Tournament appearance with a pair of wins in front of a home town crowd and have advanced into the Sweet 16.
This is the fifth time the Cats have made it into this round and for the third consecutive year in a row under head coach Matthew Mitchell.
Kentucky will be back on the court in the next round against an opponent they defeated earlier this season in Baylor.
That contest between the Cats and Lady Bears was one for the record books when UK earned a 133-130 four overtime victory at Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium back in December.
This will be only the third time these programs have met with each program picking up a win. Baylor's win came in 2012 by a final of 85-51.
In the opening round, Kentucky defeated Wright State, 106-60 then battled past Syracuse, 64-59 at Memorial Coliseum.
Baylor picked up wins against Western Kentucky and California also on their home court in Waco, Texas.
The two programs will meet in South Bend, Ind. Saturday at noon.
