University of Kentucky Police issued the following Public Safety Notice to campus via email Tuesday:
University of Kentucky values a safe community for all students, staff, faculty, and visitors. Earlier today, UK Police were made aware of a suspicious incident in the area of the Smith Hall.
A witness reported to UK Police that at around 2:15 p.m. today, she saw two white male subjects approach a female subject outside of Smith Hall. The witness reported to police that one of the male subjects grabbed the female subject's shoulder, to which the female subject then turned and kicked the male subject. Both male subjects fled south, in the direction toward the Johnson Recreational Center.
The witness described the subject who grabbed the female subject as a white male of average build, 40 to 50 years of age, approximately 6 feet tall with long gray hair, wearing a black hat, a long green trench coat, and a black shoulder bag.
The witness described the second subject as white male of average build, 40 to 50 years of age, approximately 6 feet tall wearing a black jacket and a black shoulder bag.

• If you see something suspicious, call UK Police immediately.
• Whenever possible, carry a cell phone to be able to call for help in emergencies.
• Never get into a car with anyone you do not know.
• Do not travel alone after dark; walk with a friend or with a group.
• Make statements with authority - "BACK-OFF! STOP! NO WAY!" You deserve to be respected.
