A University of Kentucky student has been arrested and charged with raping another student early Saturday morning, UK Police said.
Officers arrested Simon Parker Segal, 18, Saturday morning around 11:40, nearly 10 hours after the alleged incident took place, according to the citation report.
UK Police Chief Joe Monroe tells LEX 18 the two students met at an off-campus party Friday night and that the alleged sexual act took place in an on-campus residence hall sometime afterward.
According to the citation report, the victim told police Segal engaged in "non-consensual sexual intercourse". One of the few things the victim could remember was Segal telling her "I want to make you feel better," the report said.
The victim told police she tried to get Segal off of her but he pinned her neck with his forearm and hand and knocked her unconscious, the report said.
Segal is being held at the Fayette County Detention in lieu of a $10,000 bail.
