UK scored the game's first 15 points, opening on an 18-3 run against Portland. During the run, Darius Miller scored seven straight points for the Wildcats. The Wildcats didn't allow a Portland score until the 12:09 mark of the first half.
• Kentucky led 38-24 at the half. UK is 2-0 when leading at halftime.
• As a team, the Wildcats have blocked 16 shots in two games this season.
• The Wildcats held Jared Stohl, the top-ranked three-point shooter in the country last season to 1-of-7 from beyond the arc.
• Darius Miller recorded a career-high five steals and four blocks against Portland, while Josh Harrellson pulled down a career-best 12 rebounds.

• UK extended its home winning streak to 20 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in school history, with a hard-fought 81-76 win over No. 12 Notre Dame on Sunday.
• It marked UK's first win over a ranked non-conference opponent at home since 1997. Reigning SEC Player of the Year Victoria Dunlap led the winning effort, charting her 22nd career double-double with a game-high 24 points and 14 rebounds.
• Freshman guard Bernisha Pinkett came off the bench for a career night, posting 17 points and grabbing mfive rebounds in 23 minutes.
• Junior sharp-shooter Keyla Snowden also scored 17 points, netting a game-high five three-pointers.
• The UK volleyball team picked up its thrid consecutive victory over an SEC Western Division foe with a 3-1 come-from-behind win at Ole Miss on Friday night.
• Sophomore Stephanie Klefot had a match-high 26 digs to lead the Cats. Klefot has now picked up 25 or more digs in three of UK's last four matches. For the season she has totaled 493 digs which ranks as the fifth highest single-season total in school history.
• Junior Becky Pavan led the offense with 12 kills on a .417 hitting percentage. She also added a pair of aces, five blocks and four digs to her stat line.
• Kentucky has now won 17 or more matches in all six seasons under the direction of Craig Skinner.
• The University of Kentucky men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in the three-day long Tennessee Invitational in Knoxville, Tenn. Senior Kayla Sergesketter led the women's side by earning NCAA (B) qualifying times in the 200 freestyle relay as the lead swimmer, the 400 medley relay as the anchor, the 50 freestyle, the 200 freestyle, the 200 medley relay where she was the anchor, the 100 freestyle and the 400 freestyle relay as the anchor.
• The women's side finished the Tennessee Invitational in third-place with 850 points. Virginia Tech won the Tennessee Invitational with 1,118 points, Tennessee finished in second with 918 points and Alabama in fourth with 745 points.
• The men's side finished the invitational in fourth-place with 566 points. Alabama won the invitational with 1,191 points, followed by Virginia Tech with 975.5 points and Tennessee in third with 932.5 points.
• The Tennessee Invitational marked the final meet of the 2010 fall season. The Cats will hit the pool again Jan. 5 in Savannah, Ga., in a tri-meet against the Savannah College of Art and Design, and Limestone.
