The man who police say tried to run from them, only to get hit by a van, is now in stable condition.

It happened at about 8:30 Friday night. Police say they spotted Steven Reilly speeding on his motorcycle on I-64. Police pulled Reilly over, but he tried to run away. Reilly dashed across I-64 and then later tried to cross back over, but that's when he was hit by a mini-van.

No one in the van was hurt but Reilly was taken to UK Hospital in critical condition.

State Police are still investigating.
