After nearly six hours, police reopened US-27 in both directions in Jessamine County,
The highway was shut down around 8 a.m. after a serious accident.
Police say a southbound Honda CRV crossed the center line and crashed into a northbound work truck around 8 a.m. The vehicles came to rest about 80 feet apart. EMS took the driver of the Honda to the hospital for treatment of injuries officials called serious.
Police say debris scattered across a wide area made accident reconstruction particularly difficult.
