The Versailles man accused of stabbing his father then leading police on a chase pleaded not guilty in the case Monday.
Police confirm Ross Phar, 24, is now facing two counts of assault third-degree after he allegedly attacked deputies at the Woodford County Detention Center.
Investigators say Phar stabbed his 73-year old father, Dennis, in the neck. Police say after a chase, Phar crashed on U.S. 60 after clipping a motorcycle from behind. He is charged with first-degree assault in the stabbing.
The judge in the case recused herself because her son is friends with someone conncted to the case.
Phar will be back in court Wednesday at 10 a.m., where the prosecutor plans to ask that Phar's bond be raised to $250,000.
