A Versailles police officer escaped with just minor injuries after he crashed while responding to a call Tuesday.

The accident happened along HWY-33 just before noon. Police say Kenny Rogers was responding to a domestic violence call when he lost control of his cruiser and crashed through a fence and into a utility pole. A section of the pole impaled the car's passenger side window, but amazingly, Rogers suffered only minor injuries.
