A man involved in an accident on Paris Pike Saturday afternoon has died.

The victim was taken to UK Hospital with life-threatening injuries after police say he driver likely hydro-planed into rocks on the side of the road. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

It happened on the inbound lanes of Paris Pike in Fayette County.

Police say the victim was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The victim's name has not yet been released.

The inbound lane of Paris Pike was shut down but has since reopened.
