A candlelight vigil was held Saturday night in Scott County for a woman who has been missing for nearly 2 decades.

Friends, family and the public gathered at the Scott County Park looking for closure in the disappearance of Sharon Sons.

Sons was last seen walking on Cane Run Road in Lexington on October 20, 1993.

The family says it's been 19 years and each year takes it's toll, especially during the holidays. They're hoping anyone who knows something about the case will come forward and talk to police.

The family has also hired a private investigator to look into the case.

Another vigil is set for December 14th in Lexington.
