A voluntary water conservation request for residents near a massive fire at an Anderson County glass recycling center has been lifted.
A Lawrenceburg resident told LEX 18 that the county emergency notification system called residents just before 2:30 p.m. asking that they conserve water. The message says the "large industrial fire" was going to require a large amount of water.
The message also stated that no evacuation order has been issued but people that were experiencing a large amount of smoke should stay indoors, close the windows and turn of the air conditioning.
